Die Idealvorstellungen von der Welt, die die meisten Menschen hegen, liegen nicht so weit auseinander – es sei denn, sie sind faschistisch fehlgeleitet, oder so etwas. Gerechtigkeit, Gesundheit und Frieden hält wohl so ziemlich jeder für das Erstrebenswerteste. Was ich auf meinen vielen Reisen gesehen und erfahren habe: Eine Gesellschaft, die wirklich kapitalistisch wäre, also ohne die bei uns eingebauten Ungerechtigkeiten wäre fantastisch. Wir haben ja genug Diktaturen erlebt, auch gut gemeinte – keine hat funktioniert. Und der kapitalistische Grundgedanke ist eigentlich famos: Tue etwas ganz besonders gut, und du wirst dafür belohnt. Wenn man da den Umweltgedanken geschickt integriert, hat man ein fast perfektes System.
